Leading the Way on Neighborhood Vaccine Efforts

The Center for Neighborhoods is proud to help connect the dots between neighborhoods and public health officials in Kansas City’s fight against COVID-19

This Summer, the Center for Neighborhoods has collaborated with Our Healthy KC Eastside and our neighborhood partners to help COVID-19 vaccination efforts reach communities where they live. In an interview on the Our Healthy KC Eastside website, Director Dina Newman explains how we’ve paired neighborhood events with vaccine clinics. These pairings leverage existing relationships to encourage those with vaccine hesitancy to protect themselves and their communities. Neighborhood-sponsored events also offer a convenient vaccination opportunity to those with busy lives.
