Cohort [Koh-hawrt]
- A group of persons sharing a sharing a particular statistical or demographic characteristic
- Any group of students educated at the same time, usually within the same program
Our Neighborhood Leadership Program is built around a 12-week course with a selected group of neighborhood leaders, advocates and residents from Kansas City, Missouri neighborhoods and homeowners associations. These volunteer leaders work together to build their organizations, their Board, and their team. They also learn from each other through our Sister Neighborhoods “Sisterhoods” program, which pairs organizations together for the duration of our program and beyond.
Our leadership program focuses on four areas of emphasis for each Cohort: Leadership and Governance, Neighborhood Health and Safety, Communications and Technology, and Neighborhood Planning and Development.
