But there’s more to Roanoke than location. With just 100 homes, it’s the tight-knit community and sociable vibe that make it one of the most hip and coveted neighborhoods by those in the know.

Many neighborhood events have been held for decades, including an annual progressive dinner, a day-long 4th of July celebration, parties celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween and Christmas, plus many others throughout the year, both planned and impromptu. And the neighborhood board of directors is vibrant and active, planning activities and listening to concerns.

Roanoke is home to a diverse variety of households, including lots of young families, who love having kids here. There are over 50 kids in the neighborhood, who to go to school at Pembroke Hill, Visitation, St. Paul’s, Crossroads, Academie Lafayette, Sion, St. Teresa’s, Rockhurst and others.
