Mission

Old Hyde Park Historic District is a nonpartisan neighborhood corporation established to:

  • Promote quality of life,

  • Combat blight and crime, and

  • Maintain the neighborhood’s historical & architectural integrity

WHAT WE DO

We’re involved in a wide range of activities, including​:

  • Holding regularly scheduled meetings,

  • Funding & participating in neighborhood clean-up events

  • Organizing guest speakers 

  • Encouraging engagement through newsletters and flyers

  • Hosting social events

Committies

PRESERVATION

We work with Kansas City’s Historic Preservation Department to preserve the historic integrity of our neighborhood.  We also provide historically appropriate guidance to anyone planning to make exterior changes to properties in our neighborhood.  

 
PROGRAMS & EVENTS

Litter…It Matters is a local effort to keep our neighborhood clean and free from litter. Generally we meet on the 4th Monday of the month at 6 pm at a designated location and pick up litter for one hour. Bags, grabbers, and gloves are provided. Please join us! 

 
SAFETY & SECURITY

We maintain a healthy relationship with the KCPD.  Our KCPD area officer regularly attends meetings and provides safety and security updates relevant to our neighborhood.

MARKETING

We are always looking for new ways to engage our neighbors and promote our neighborhood outside of our district. 

The Old Hyde Park Neighborhood Association has regular neighborhood meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 6:00 PM at 3931 Main St, the offices of Midtown KC Now
