Following up on our highly successful, Center for Neighborhoods Neighborhood Check-In last month – we invite you to attend CFN Neighborhood Business Night on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at our offices at 4747 Troost or online via Zoom. This event will be a neighborhood check-in with a twist: bring a neighborhood business owner with you! Funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, CFN has begun a new research project with faculty from Urban Planning and Design (Wagner and Frisch) – focused on obstacles to neighborhood business development in Kansas City. We are especially interested in the challenges faced by African American, Hispanic and Women-owned businesses in KCMO. The evening will provide for an open discussion of the ways that local businesses and neighborhoods can work together. Please reach out to a business owner in your neighborhood and invite them to join you for a conversation. Or, if you’re a business owner yourself, please join us to share your own views. A light meal will be served to those who attend in person. Please register by Friday May 20th to allow us to plan accordingly. |
