Eastwood Hills

Neighborhood boundaries: From Manchester Trafficway and the Blue River (formerly Hardesty Road, Coal Mine Road, the Blue River, and Winchester Avenue) on the west to Raytown Road on the north, to Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east, and to Blue Parkway and 55^th Street on the south.

Mission:

To preserve the natural setting of the community, nurture the quality of life of the neighborhood, and to actively guide the future of Eastwood Hills.

Established: 1946

Membership meetings with potluck dinners are on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings include the KCPD Community Interaction Officers from East and Metro Patrols. We meet at the Eastwood Hills Community Association Community Center, 7400 Ozark Road, Kansas City, MO 64129.

Past and Current Projects / Accomplishments:

• Involvement in initial and continuing City planning and development of the old Municipal Farm property
• Work with Heartland Conservation Alliance to involve the community in environmental activities in the Boys Grow area
• Input on future trail development in and around Eastwood Hills
• Eastwood Hills Community Garden through Kansas City Community Gardens
• Community Social Events
• Block Watch training
• Two neighborhood cleanups a year
