Mission:

Beacon Hill-McFeders Community Council mission is to promote community awareness that will enrich the lives of the Beacon Hill residents and the larger community of Kansas City, Missouri. And to ensure residents live in a safe and crime free environment, an improved social, cultural and economically vibrant community.

Vision:

Beacon Hill-McFeders Community Council guiding vision for the neighborhood is to celebrate the past and present in a healthy and sustainable environment inclusive of all the residents and businesses that make this a great place to live.

We usually have a yearly festival at Winner Park with food, games, music, raffles, prizes, and community leaders.  We have several cleanups per year where we rent dumpsters from City and help clean up neighborhood and properties.  We also have Blue Bag Clean up days where we clean up our neighborhood with Blue Bags provided by City for free pick up.

We have had Community Gardens almost every year since 2011 and now have a bigger CSA in our Neighborhood at Agape Farms/Beaumont Church that grows organic produce.

We have reached out to many non-profits to make sure our residents have the community resources needed to live healthy and safe lives as well as give out home improvement opportunities and grants.

We support our local businesses and self employed neighbors- promoting child care services, home repairs and alterations.  We work diligently with Community Services to help provide a safe and good place for all to live.

Projects and Accomplishments:

In 2019, Beacon Hill-McFeders Community Council and the Beacon Hill Homeowners Association applied for PICA funding for new infrastructure with curbing, sidewalks from 27th & Paseo to 27th & West Paseo Blvd. Currently pending the completion of a pocket park at the corner northwest corner of 27th & Paseo.

Beacon Hills has regular meetings every 3rd Saturday Bi-Monthly (January-March-May-July-September-November) at Central Patrol Community Room /1200 E Linwood Kansas City, Mo
